Common questions

I forgot my password / need to reset it

On the login screen, choose Continue with Bank of Parents and use the password reset option. If you signed in with Google, reset your password through your Google account. Bank of Parents doesn't store a separate password for Google sign-in.

How do child accounts work?

A parent or guardian creates each child's account from inside the app and sets a username and password. No email or phone number is needed to set one up.

To let your child log in, open Settings > Household > General and copy the household code shown there. On your child's device, choose Continue with Family Code on the login screen, enter that code, and it opens your household's own login. Your child signs in there with the username and password you set up for them.

My child forgot their username or password

A parent can update a child's login details from the household's account settings in the app.

How does allowance work?

Bank of Parents is a mock bank. Balances, chores, and allowance payouts stay inside the app. Core features need no real bank account or card.

How do I cancel or manage Bank of Parents Plus?

Manage your plan from Billing in your household's account settings. Our payment provider handles payment outside the app. We don't see or store your card details.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Delete your account from account settings in the app. This removes your personal data, with limited exceptions described in our Privacy Policy. If you'd rather we handle it, tell us through Send Feedback.

Something's broken or looks wrong

Use Send Feedback in the app and describe what you saw. Screenshots help. The app also sends us crash and error reports, which helps us find and fix bugs.

See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data, and our Terms of Service for the rules of using the app.
